We went for an early dinner before a sunset cruise and had a great experience! Nicole was our server, and even though they got pretty busy while we were there, she was attentive and so sweet. The drinks were tasty and the food was great as well. We will definitely be back next visit!

We had a wonderful breakfast at The Beachcomber. The food was delicious, fresh, and exactly what we were hoping for during our getaway. The location made it even better — we were able to sit right by the water and enjoy a beautiful, relaxing water view while we ate. A special shoutout to Victoria, our server, who was attentive, patient, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Great food, great service, and a perfect waterfront breakfast. We would definitely come back and recommend it!

What an incredible place to eat. In fact, it was so good, we went the very next day and I ordered the blackened mahi sandwich again. While we were eating, a dolphin swam by and then two manatees went by after that. Our waitress, Nicole, was such a joy to talk to and so was Dallas. The whole experience was so good. We highly recommend that you go there.

Outstanding! Other restaurants take note, Beachcomber Trading Post is by far the best on the water restaurant from Englewood to Osprey and beyond!! Excellent menu, we had delicious burgers and fries (not tourist trap burgers), a great keylime pie cocktail and a beer, and for dessert, better than Disney vanilla pineapple sole whip swirl softserve. The atmosphere there is perfect, lots of water view seating, comfortable and cute seating/tables, pleasant servers, music not too load - can hear but you don’t have to shout to hear who you are with, then the same goes for the live musician when they started playing. Oh, and reasonably priced, especially for being on the water. Can’t wait to come back! FYI, we are locals, so our perspective is not from vacation rose colored glasses.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic breakfast spot with the perfect beach vibe! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with beautiful coastal views that made for a great start to the day. The food was fresh, flavorful, and served quickly. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the staff was friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for great breakfast food and a laid-back beachside experience, this place is a must-visit!

The service was very good, even though it was busy for lunch. I enjoyed the lunch special, a patty melt. There was a band playing steel drums for the outside seating. You can enjoy watching boats go by, and one even docked here, to come to lunch. Saw a dolphin swim by too!

A local place, not a chain restaurant. The service was great! We loved the views of the river, the boats slowly passing by added to the charm and the "island life" atmosphere. We started off with fried cheese curds, they piping hot, definitely had not been sitting under heat lamp. They serve them with their homemade ranch which is excellent. I had their grilled chicken sandwich, I opted for the blackened version, with bacon and chipotle mayo. Great taste, cooked just right, it was juicy and hot off the grill. My wife had their steak and cheese fries, she added jalapenos to the order. The plate was huge, she couldn't finish them all. The steak used was ribeye, so you know it was tender and flavorful. We both highly recommend eating their if you are in the Venice Beach, FL area.

We had lunch at 3:30 on a Saturday. We had valet parking which was done very well. We were seated right away. We ordered fish & chips and a cheeseburger flat bread. Both entrees were excellent. We received our food less than 6 minutes from the time we ordered and it was hot and as ordered. Overall, I am excited about returning to try several other items on the menu. We were treated to some very good quality live music that was not overly loud. I am compelled to limit the service rating to 2 stars because our waitress, Gabrielle, was really not on her game. I hope the other staff members are more engaged and professional... and I assume they are. That beeing said, I enthusiastically recommend Beachcomber Trading Post.

The Beachcomber Trading Post Restaurant was on our list of places to check out on our three day stop in Manasota Key. It was on several “best of” lists that we researched before our trip. We ended up checking it out for a late breakfast. I had the Philly steak and cheese scramble, and my wife had the sunrise scramble. Both dishes were delicious. The service was incredible, as was the atmosphere. We sat outside and enjoyed the view of the boats coming and going. I also really enjoyed the music selection. I hope to return and try this restaurant for dinner.

A very nice, local restaurant with a wonderful beachy waterfront vibe. The owners and waitstaff are extremely friendly and helpful - with a parking attendant to help you find a spot. The live music on the patio completed the experience. We visited for happy hour a few years ago and enjoyed it. This trip, we went for breakfast and had the Bayside Burrito and Stump Pass Scramble (which was basically an omelette). Both were very good and filling. We'll be back on our next trip to Englewood Beach.
